Two routes for tomorrow, the shorter one takes us to Peebles and back, the longer to Innerleithen.
Down to Broughton and round by Drumelzier, Stobo & Lynn to Peebles, home via Stobo with Dreva as an option if you’re feeling strong. Around 17 miles each way with refreshments in the middle, 34 miles at a gentle pace.

Lets take the Stobo route both ways for the Inners ride, keeps us off the main road with the option of rolling round Cademuir and up over Dreva on the way home. 55 miles whichever way you look at it!

The cycle routes will be chosen each week depending on weather, participants etc but we aim to cycle for typically 1.5 – 3hrs. On the Sunday Spin (depending on numbers) there will be two groups; a “Social” group which offers a shorter route at an easy pace and a “Touring” group that aims to cover a reasonable distance at a pace that suits everyone. Both groups will aim to meet at the same location during the ride for a break and refreshments.
We do encourage new members to be able to cycle at least 10 to 15 miles but out on the rides we stay as a group and go at the pace of the slowest member.
Helmets required, bright clothing and lights always recommended. A spare inner tube, pump and a few basic tools are helpful too but not essential.
